Sangamon County Visitation Rules and Schedules

The Sangamon County Jail offers on-site and off-site video visitation. To use the off-site video visitation option, prospective visitors must create an account on the HomeWAV or ICSolution platform. Each visit lasts 20 minutes, and there are no limits on the number of video visits. The offsite video visitation is available daily from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On the other hand, eligible persons may conduct on-site visits to the facility from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visits are 20 minutes long, and inmates may have 3 visits per week.

While at the facility, visitors must follow these rules:

  • Schedule a visit at least 12 hours prior to the appointment.
  • They must check in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visit.
  • Visitors must be 18 years of age or older and must present a valid government-issued photo ID.
  • No more than 3 visitors can visit an inmate at the facility.
  • Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The visitor may be required to provide proof of the child’s relationship to the inmate and to the visitor.
  • Visitors under the influence of an intoxicating substance are not eligible to visit inmates.
  • Visitors must wear clothing that covers all private body areas.
